Lifestyle · Camille's Cotillion

With the help of my cousin, Donmiguel, as secondary photographer for the night, Camille's Tangled-inspired, Disney-themed cotillion was nothing short of a joy to photograph. I'm a sucker for Disney themes, for the setting, vibe, and music never cease to bring upon happiness and joy to all. On another note, I always love it when the other vendors (DJ, videographers, planners) during an event are willing to cooperate and work together. Not only does it make all of our jobs that much easier and more enjoyable, but when you're having fun, you naturally perform a lot better. For me, it helps keep the passion alive, and makes work not really seem so much like work anymore - just the documenting of beautiful, real moments that I know people will look back and smile at years from now.

Lifestyle · Krystel's Cotillion

It's always a humbling feeling getting caught "in the moment" while photographing an event, because even though I have been privileged enough to cover quite a few birthday parties - to a point where it often seems like "routine" when I go about with the day, considering that I already have an idea of what's coming - no two events are ever the same. The emotions felt, the laughs shared, and the tears shed are what truly make them all unique and different from the rest, always finding a way to bring me back home and feeling fulfilled by the end of the night.

Lifestyle · Justine's Cotillion

One of the things I love most about photographing events like cotillions, quinceañeras, and the like, is the strong emphasis on family. Being a family person myself, it's always awesome being able to place myself in someone's shoes when it comes to empathizing one way or another. Justine's cotillion, despite being in a smaller, more intimate setting, exemplified the sheer idea of family, showing that with a tightly-knit group of family and friends as a foundation, nothing is ever impossible.

Lifestyle · Ellie's Sweet Sixteen

Photographed Ellie's Sweet Sixteen just a day after getting back from my Los Angeles trip, where adjusting back to San Francisco's crazy and unpredictable weather was probably my biggest concern. To my delight, however, the skies were bright and sunny for Ellie's birthday celebration! As if I didn't get enough "Disney" from the past week, Ellie's Sweet Sixteen incorporated a lovely "disney princess" theme that engulfed the entire venue. As one could tell by the pictures, she could not stop smiling that night and showed exactly what a Disney princess would portray - elegance, cheerfulness, and happiness.
